| Dust
Stoppers
- The
Dust Stopper was designed for the nuclear
industry to prevent contaminated dust
from entering the pipeline system.
-
The Dust Stopper is easily screwed into
the driving head to keep grinding dust
out of the pipe
-
A rubber ring scrapes dust from the valve
wall when drive shaft/drive head is removed
to change grinding paper
-
The contaminated grinding dust is contained
in the Dust Stopper with a minimal amount
collecting in the valve body
-
The Dust Stopper seats 1⁄2"
to 1" below the seat with a moving
center which permits adjustment of the
grinding heads
-
For extra security a "balloon"
attachment is available

| Remote
Control for Model G and FL
- Remote
Control system is designed to reduce the
exposure time of plant personnel during
repair & maintenance of valves in
containment addressing ALARA concerns.
-
Permits remote operation of valve grinders
located up to 100 feet away from valve
being serviced.
-
Grinding is viewed and controlled by a
monitor and motors assembled on the machine.
- Change
grinding paper as required (Use of permanent
diamond or BN grinding plates will reduce
exposure, as grinding paper change will
not be required)
Via
use of TV monitor, camera and sound system
the operator can control:
Vertical Adjustment of the grinder
Horizontal Adjustment
Grinding Pressure
Rotation Speed
Direction of Rotation

| Re-Establishing
the O.D. (Outside Diameter) of 3 Degrees
for use with Model G and FL
- Re-establishes
the opoutside diameter lost due to removal
of seat material during grinding.
- Valve
sizes 1"- 47+"
-
Reduces the loss of the outside diameter
and result in a longer seat life of the
valve.
-
The LarsLap Model S-C (1/2" to 4")
is standard with reversible grinding plate
to re-establish the O.D. of 3 degrees.
-
Larger valves, 2 1⁄2" to 48",
require an additional accessory kit which
provides Guiding Plates and grinding heads
for use with the Models FL and G
-
The grinding heads are manufactured with
the 3-degree (or degree specified) and
are attached to the FL or G driving plates
-
LarsLap's state of the art technology
(stationary center) allows a guiding plate
to be attached to the driving head to
act as a pilot for the angle cut.
-
The guide plate sits stationary approximately
1" below the seat in the bore
- 3
degree accessory as standard.
- Customized
angle available upon request.

Radius
Grinding (Chamfering) For Gate Valves
- Accessory
for establishing a radius on the Inside
and Outside diameter of Gate Valves
-
For Gate valve sizes 2 1/2"- 47+"
-
Radius grinding (Chamfering) is the recommended
method of chamfering the wedge and seat
for proper entry and seating of the valve.
-
LarsLap offers radius grinding as a method
that prevents cutting action seat damage
by producing a smooth meeting between
the seats
-
The procedure is much the same as re-establishing
the OD of 3 degrees, however in this case
a gradual radius must be re-established
to prevent seat leakage.
